University Project (2020)

Faces in the Stages of Grief explores the Kübler Ross theory on the stages of grief through facial expression.

Aotearoa was put into lockdown during my final year of University, during this time I experienced a flurry of different emotions. This was a shared experience worldwide, people dealing with loss of life and connection. The project was dedicated to 2020 and the aim was to connect with people and their core emotions.

The project depicts the theory through a frame-by-frame animation and a set of five A5 booklets that communicate the faces of each emotion within the Kübler model - Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and, Acceptance.
